Helena Goldwater
Borough Councillor for Hatfield South West
I am thrilled to have been elected to the Borough council in 2023 in Hatfield South-West Ward. I would like to convey my thanks to every constituent who voted for me. I am a working mother, running my own online business, with two young daughters and have lived in Hatfield for nearly a decade.
I have already been working hard for the residents of the Hatfield South West - leading and participating in monthly ‘LoveHatfield’ litter picks through the central and southern areas of Hatfield Town. These litter picks take place usually on the first Saturday of the month, all litter picking equipment is provided on the day. Get in touch if you would like to take part. You can also join our monthly Hatfield South-West Newsletter with all the litter picking dates listed in each publication.
As a Borough Councillor, I will be championing more affordable housing by pushing for more social housing provision in the local plan, and thus creating a fairer society for our residents. As a Liberal Democrat I believe in equality, equity, diversity, and inclusion, so my work as a councillor will be based on these overarching principles.
You are welcome to contact me with your questions, concerns and queries via email or phone or see me in person at our Libdem monthly surgeries, held with my colleague Tim Rowse, in the Jim McDonald Centre and St John’s Church. Please contact me or Tim Rowse for exact dates and times of our surgery or check our ‘Team Hatfield South West’ Facebook page for further information. I look forward to hearing from you.
