No yellow yet lines after road resurfacing one month ago

It is a month since Longcroft Lane, WGC was resurfaced. There is no sign of the yellow lines being repainted, and there is ever-increasing illegal parking as a result.

Liberal Democrat county councillor Malcolm Cowan said 'This is totally unsatisfactory. It is over a week since I demanded a date when the work would be done, but nothing has been forthcoming. It seems as if putting back the lines is treated as an afterthought instead of part of the job.'

'We had a similar case in Turmore Dale a couple of months ago - nothing seems to have been learned.'

Malcolm continued 'Almost every day there is a press release coming out of County Hall, telling us how well Tory-run Herts Highways are doing. Local people are seeing the truth, that their performance is patchy.

'This is a resurfacing scheme that in my view didn't need doing and which has caused flooding where none existed before. Now this. It is not good enough.'
