CCTV not turned on. Why?

April 30, 2006 11:24 PM
CCTV cameras

CCTV cameras turned off in the town centre.

While they were still building a new CCTV system in WGC town centre, the council turned off the existing cameras in Church Rd, and criminals may have got away Scot-free with a mini crime wave.

We want to know - why?

Will the new system be kept switched on?

This is not the first example of their blundering with our money. Remember how last year they turned down a resident's offer to pay for taking down the laurels on The Campus, then carried out the work themselves, costing us around £15,000?
